3 Easy Ways to Control the Chaos, Simplify, and Spring Clean Your Life

Today’s episode is super simple and straight to the point. 3 Easy Ways to Control the Chaos, Simplify, and Spring Clean Your Life. I am going to share with you the 3 things I use often in my business and life to help me control the chaos and find more time to spend on the things that I value most.

Eliminate the “badge of honor” thinking that we can be held hostage too. The thinking that we must find ways to balance the chaos of our fast-paced lives. Being told that we will feel accomplished for having emerged from under multiple deadlines and major challenges while finding time to live a life that seems happy and fulfilled. After all, it’s all documented right there on social media, right?

Instead of trying to “win” at the game of life, what if we decided to actually sit out the rat race and focus on ways to simplify our lives? We know that it is probably a lot healthier to exercise outdoors than run in place on what can become the hamster wheel of life.

We do have a choice. We often let the overwhelm of our demands steal that choice from us. We can choose to say no to working late all the time. We can ask for carpool help more often, we can find meals that our kiddos can make on their own, we can expect more from our husbands or partners, not feeling like we have to do it all ourselves.

If you’ve been feeling weighed down with the demands of life, instead of trying to figure out how to make it all work, maybe try to look for things you can take off your plate. To-dos you can remove altogether. With these 3 easy, small changes, you might be surprised by how much more time you have on your hands.

1. Simplify Your Goals & To-Do List
2. Eliminate Unnecessary Stuff
3. Assess the Value of Your Time

We hope that this episode brought you more clarity and understanding allowing you the freedom to focus on the things that really matter, your top priorities, your key relationships, your most important projects, all the things that will bring you more joy and your business more success. Take care and have a great week!

Some few key notes:

[05:26] Set goals and make a to-do list, but reduce the number of goals you are hoping to complete to only 2-3 at a time

[05:46] Research indicates that multi-tasking increases stress and lowers productivity. While single-tasking is becoming a lost art, learn it. Handle one task at a time. Do it well. And when it is complete, move to the next.

[05:59] Schedule exra time in your work

[06:12] Have additional time or break to rrefresh and recharge

[07:17] Schedule a 10 in 10 declutter session once a month Pick a room, get your timer, and set aside 10 minutes for a quick, impactful decluttering session.

[08:52] Invest in a 30 minute Time Value Assessment. The goal is to get clear on what you truly care about and see how this relates to the value of your time.
