Why You Need a Great Website

Your website is one of the most important aspects of your early childhood business. It represents you and your brand, and it's where prospects convert into customers. But, if your website is outdated, contains inaccurate info, or worst of all, doesn't shine with your personality and purpose, you will lose trust and traffic fast.

Your website speaks to your brand personality and purpose, your professionalism and trust factor, your services and their quality, and so much more!

But, what if it’s not currently conveying any of that? And what if you don't have the experience or tech savviness or money to create the website you've always wanted?

Well, I have four words for you: You are not alone. This is something that many early childhood business owners struggle with, and I can help!

3 Things to Add to Your Website Today!

Creating a website that attracts the right families and reflects your personality can be difficult and overwhelming. There's much to consider, from your tone of voice, to the design of your site, to the colors and fonts, and everything else in between.

The good news is, there are many ways to weave your personality and brand purpose into your website! And I’ll be sharing three of them with you today. These quick tips will have you turning website visitors into touring families in no time.

Brand Design With Personality and Purpose

Brand design with personality and purpose is key! The more professional and eye-catching your website is, the easier it is for people to get a feel for your business.

Use your brand guidelines and stick to them. This will often include brand keywords, common phrases, colors, fonts, a logo, etc. Your guidelines will help you create a seamless style and a look for every page on your website.

If you don't have a brand guide, don't sweat it, there are a number of resources to help you. You can also work with a brand designer.

You want your reader to flow through each page with ease, seeing the same color schemes, fonts, page layouts, and most importantly, tone of voice. This will help visitors identify your content as yours.

Use design to your advantage. If you're bright and bubbly, your website can show that. If you’re more serious or professional, let your design show that too. There's no right or wrong way to showcase who you are through your website design.

A Purposeful “About” Page

You can use your “about” page to show people your brand, your purpose, your team, what you do, and how you can benefit them.

You’ll also want to describe what makes you different from your competitors and why prospects should work with you, or purchase your services. This is where your CEO mindset vision plan really matters. Your “about” page is the second most visited page on your website after your homepage, and that's why it's the perfect place to showcase your personality and purpose.

Your “about” page is not only a place where you can describe yourself, it’s also the perfect place to share your value mission and your vision. This will give the families visiting an understanding of your business, and will help them decide if they want to work with you.

Customer Testimonials

I know that, oftentimes in early childhood businesses, we don't think about the importance of customer testimonials. But putting reviews on your website is crucial!

Are you using your customer testimonials to their full advantage? Do you even have them on your website? Better yet, do you know how to have them on your website?

After all, people trust people! For example, when I'm looking to purchase anything on the internet, my number one concern is if they have good reviews. And I'm willing to bet your customers are the same!

Reviews are a huge untapped marketing tool, and we don’t use them enough, especially in early childhood businesses.

So, if you're not already displaying some of your show stopping reviews on your website, today's the day to do it!

Plus, by sharing what past or current clients have said about your services, potential customers are able to hear feedback from someone other than yourself. Doing so helps your prospects see what's possible.

I dive into all of this in more depth in the episode above, so make sure to give it a listen!
