We are counting down to Back to School and this is WEEK 3 of the Back to School Challenge. We are talking all about strategies for hosting a fabulous Open House that will enroll more families to your early childhood business.

Hosting an Open House is a great way to get existing, as well as, new parents and children excited about the upcoming school year. It is a great opportunity for them to meet your team and see the classrooms or play space.

You have built a wonderful early childhood business, so be excited and proud to share it! When you and your team are excited about what you do it shines through when engaging with parents and children! If you make your Open House about connecting and engaging with families you will end up with multiple enrollments at the event as a result.

It's that time of year again! Preschools, childcare, and play cafes across the country are getting ready for their annual open houses. This is a great opportunity for parents to come and see what YOU, their child's future school or favorite play cafe has to offer.

Now the big question…. Are you ready?

Are you ready for your potential families? Are you ready to convert them to enrollments? Is your team ready to make sure your potential families feel the love, care and quality you are committed to providing?

We are going to make sure you are ready! And one easy way to do that is by hosting a fabulous Open House. Today we are talking about 3 things to help you strategize your own Open House plan:

  1. The Benefits of Hosting an Open House

  2. Tips for a Successful Open House

  3. Maximizing Your Marketing Potential with Your Open House

We will also share our 10 Easy Tips for a Successful Open House

  1. Remember that your potential parent sees their child as the most important person in this process

  2. Be prepared for them to ask A LOT of questions

  3. Give them plenty of time in making a decision.

  4. Welcome them with a great first impression! Make sure you walk your building inside and out!

  5. Set up a welcome table near the front of your lobby area

  6. How can you make them feel special? What is something fun and unique you can offer them?

  7. Make it feel more comfortable and approachable

  8. It is essential to have all of your classrooms open with the lead team members ready to greet and share what they do.

  9. It would be great for the team member to have something that they could give to each parent and child as a takeaway

  10. Don’t forget about the registration area!

BONUS TIP… be sure to have a sign-up sheet available so that parents can sign up for newsletters, volunteering, or other activities.

I discuss all of this in more depth in the episode above, so make sure to give it a listen!
